Eileen (アイリーン, Airīn) is a supporting character in Suikoden who makes a cameo in Suikoden II. A dedicated family woman, Eileen is the wife of Lepant and the mother of Sheena.
History

Eileen, a woman of remarkable strength and grace, was the wife of Lepant, who served as the President of the newly established Toran Republic, and the caring mother of Sheena.
Her relationship with Lepant began at a social gathering hosted by a regional lord. Their connection blossomed rapidly, leading to love and eventually marriage. Eileen's strong-willed nature complemented her lady-like demeanor, making her a notable and respected figure.
During the Gate Rune War, Eileen fell victim to a kidnapping orchestrated by the lecherous Kraze Miles. However, her husband, along with the Toran Liberation Army, acted swiftly and successfully rescued her from captivity.
This incident led Lepant to consider divorcing Eileen in an attempt to join the Liberation Army without concern for her safety. Nevertheless, Eileen firmly rejected the idea of divorce, demonstrating her unwavering love for her husband and her preparedness for any hardships that may arise in their journey together.
Beyond her strength of character, Eileen was also skilled in the magical arts and had an aptitude for throwing arrow-like darts. Interestingly, her magical abilities and aversion to physical conflict seemed to be inherited by her son, Sheena. Throughout their time at Toran Castle, the Lepant family resided together, maintaining a sense of stability amidst the war.
As the Gate Rune War concluded, Lepant ascended to the presidency of the Toran Republic, and Eileen remained steadfastly by his side, deepening the bond between them. Some have speculated that Eileen may hold considerable influence within the nation, as Lepant was unable to talk back to her.

- Eileen is an Irish name meaning "pleasing."
- Nothing different will happen in Suikoden if you bring Eileen along with Lepant to recruit Sheena.
- Although Eileen will protect both Lepant and Sheena in battle, only Lepant will reciprocate the favor.
