Liberating inventions require a liberated world!
— Sergei
Sergei was a diligent and innovative inventor known for his advanced designs that were often underappreciated and scorned by the authorities of his time. Despite his intelligence and hard work, he faced challenges in selling his inventions, and by the time of the Gate Rune War, none of his creations had been successfully marketed.
His inventive work was driven by a desire to expand freedom and benefit users of his creations. As such, he dismayed at the imperial way of thinking which suppressed such notions. Drowning his sorrows in a tavern in Kaku, he found the hero receptive to his ideas and so joined the Toran Liberation Army as an early member.
A notable achievement by Sergei was the installation of his invention, the elevator, at Toran Castle. This creation proved to be a valuable time-saving device for officials within the Liberation Army. He would spend his time by the elevator, maintain its works and assisting people in using it when required. In combat, Sergei utilized his trusty spanner, an essential tool in the development and maintenance of his elevator.
Following the conclusion of the Gate Rune War, Sergei's fortunes changed dramatically. His inventions gained widespread recognition and adoption, leading to significant wealth earned through patents and royalties.
