Tuta (トウタ, Touta) is a character in Suikoden II and Suikoden III. Tuta is a doctor trained by Doctor Huan.
History
Medic in Training
|
Tuta was a young medic who received his training from Doctor Huan. He was the son of one of the doctor's friends and his initial interest in medicine was sparked when Doctor Huan successfully cured Tuta's mother of an illness. In addition to his lessons from Huan, Tuta also assisted the doctor with various tasks, including making deliveries. His medical robes were a hand-me-down from Huan.
Before the outbreak of the Dunan Unification War, Tuta regularly delivered medicines to Viktor's Mercenary Fortress. He was popular among the residents of the base, such as Leona, Gengen, and others. Although a hard-working youth, he was still a child and so was excited at the prospect of visiting new places, such as Ryube Village.
Following the fall of the fortress and the mercenary forces' evacuation to Muse City, Doctor Huan foresaw the unfolding events of the Dunan Unification War. He asked Tuta to serve as a medic within Viktor's forces. When called upon to fight, Tuta utilized a peculiar projectile - a pebble that he wielded skillfully. This seemingly ordinary pebble was unique, as it could be modified and upgraded by a blacksmith.
While Tuta lacked the ability to conduct full-fledged medical procedures, he did his best to assist in any way he could. Eventually, he became an integral part of the New State Army. When Doctor Huan later joined the army as well, Tuta continued supporting him in his medical duties.
After the war concluded, Tuta's dedication to medicine remained unwavering. He pursued advanced training under Doctor Huan, showing even greater determination in his studies.
Doctor on Call
|
Tuta continued to study medicine under Doctor Huan and would grow to become a skilled doctor. After becoming a full-fledged doctor, he started journeying to villages lacking proper medical care.
He later served as a medical officer during the Higheast Rebellion which is where he first met Mio, who would later become his nurse.
He and Mio would continue to help smaller villages, eventually ending up in Iksay Village during the War of the Champions. There, he would join the Fire Bringer, serving as a doctor.
Following the war, he journeyed with Hallec to help his village, saving a lot of lives in the process.
