Leona (レオナ, Reona) is a character in Suikoden II who has a cameo in Genso Suikogaiden Vol.1. She is a bartender for the New State Army.

Leona is a flirtatious bartender who worked at the Mercenary Fortress serving drinks as well as occasionally smoothing over tensions in the group. Leona loved taking care of children and was good at talking with customers and doling out advice as sort of an elder sister. Her tender and reassuring nature helped a lot of young soldiers.

She knew Viktor in the past and opened the Mercenary Fortress tavern as she knew it would be a profitable and worthwhile venture. Her charm, as well as the quality of alcohol and food, made her place a very popular meeting place for the group.

When her home, Toto Village, was burned to the ground, she was devastated but was careful not to let it show. After the fall of the Mercenary Fortress, Leona fled with the mercenaries to Muse City, working at an inn there, where she met Nash Latkje. With the fall of Muse, she would make her way to North Window, eventually becoming part of the New State Army.

She opened a tavern at the New State Army Headquarters, tending to her patrons as well as occasionally watching over Pilika. The night before the battle with Luca Blight, Leona kept her bar open late, knowing that people would need a drink and perhaps someone to talk to as the battle approached.

Following the Dunan Unification War, Leona remained at the New State Army Headquarters, where her bar remained extremely popular.

Trivia

After you defeat the final boss, Leona will leave the castle for whiskey, and you will be unable to add anyone except the hero of the first game to the party.
