Bonaparte (ボナパルト, Bonaparuto) is a character in Suikoden II who also appears in Genso Suikogaiden Vol.2. Bonaparte is a mysterious creature that Millie keeps as a pet.

History

Bonapaaaaarte!! Come on out already I won't poke you in the eye anymore!

—  Millie

Bonaparte is a mysterious creature that Millie kept as a pet during the Dunan Unification War. Millie had caught the creature herself when he was still too young to fight back. According to Millie, Bonaparte was a groundhog. But his appearance, ability to grow enormously in size, and ferocity suggest that he was not an ordinary groundhog, to say the least.

Millie always doted on Bonaparte, oblivious to how the strange creature might be viewed by others. At some point, Bonaparte would run away from Millie, only to be cornered by her and the New State Army. After being subdued in a fight that showed Bonaparte's unusual ferocity, he would return to Millie's care.

At the castle, she delighted in showing Bonaparte the expansive views of Lake Dunan and would write letters for the Suggestion Box about him also. Millie found Bonaparte's every action to be "cute", going so far as to sleep inside his expansive mouth. She said he enjoyed her poking him in the eye, though his reaction suggested anything but.

Following the Dunan Unification War, Millie decided to travel to the Grassland in order to find a bride for Bonaparte.
