— Piccolo's profile
Appearance
Piccolo is an elderly man with brown skin, a full, white beard, and blue eyes. He wears a black skull cap so whether he has hair on his head is unknown.
He wears orb-shaped earrings, carries a dagger on a golden belt, and wears a necklace comprised of small, golden skulls he claims are his past victims. Clothing wise Piccolo wears an orange coat over a green undershirt and blue pants accented by a purple waistband. He also wears black poulaine shoes with orange soles.
Personality
Piccolo has a good-natured personality and is always smiling or laughing quietly to himself, even in extremely tense situations. Still, he has pride in himself as a magician and it appears he has hidden depths as a magic user. He resents being called an old man and insists he is a great fortune-teller, knowing that he is no less useful than the others.
Though he often acts young at heart, he uses the knowledge he has gained from his long life to try and guide others. His smile is said to be especially reassuring for the residents of Budehuc Castle.
History
Hohohohoho... The great fortuneteller Piccolo is here with you. You need not worry.
— Piccolo
Piccolo was an elderly Grassland fortune-teller and self-proclaimed great magician who had previously traveled the world before making his way to Budehuc Castle. There, he ran his divination business out of a tent pitched near the castle gates.
According to Piccolo himself, he was also the third pupil of the great magician Crowley in the past. Though this claim is uncorroborated he did indeed hold impressive skill as a magician and had a wealth of knowledge as a result. He also claimed that the skulls he wore around his neck were the corpses of warriors he had defeated and shrank, but this is another dubious claim.
When Juan called him an old man, Piccolo was quick to counter that he was not an old man but a great fortune-teller. That said, compared to his magic, his fortune-telling abilities seemed to be spotty at best. He also made a habit of recommending patrons to also visit Martha's fortune stand in a pre-arranged business agreement.
At Budehuc, he would help Thomas revitalize the castle's fortunes and stood against the Zexen Council's designed on the castle. When the council's troops marched on the castle, Piccolo used his magic to defeat two Zexen inspectors in an instant. When Juan suggested he should have used this magic sooner, Piccolo claimed with his trademark laugh that it was his once-in-a-decade lucky day.
Like the other residents of Budehuc Castle, he would continue to happily support Thomas and would later aid the Fire Bringer when the War of the Champions spread across the region.
Following the war, he would lead a leisurely life, boasting of his participation in the war.
