Dolenz (ドレンツ, Dorentsu) is a character from Genso Suikoden Short Story Collection 3. He was a soldier who served under General Kiba Windamier in SY 455.
History
Dolenz was a large, muscular man who wielded a broad axe in battle. He wore full plate armor and a horned helmet. He had fought alongside Kiba since the general's first battle at Fort Retto as one of the few survivors.
When Kiba's son Klaus accompanied them on a border patrol, Dolenz took the young boy under his wing. He would tell him stories of military valor and offer advice and support as Klaus struggled to find his own path in the world.
It was Dolenz's advice to Klaus, about finding his "own way of fighting" apart from his father, that first set Klaus on the path to pursue military strategy.
It is unknown if he was still serving with Kiba by the time of the Dunan Unification War or if he was one of the soldiers who defected alongside the general.
