Cornelio (コルネリオ, Korunerio) is a supporting character in Suikoden V. Cornelio is a highly-strung composer who works with DoReMi Elves to create his music.

History

Cornelio is a long-suffering musician, the only composer among the artists being patronized in Haud Village, he tirelessly works on his music. Those who dislike or cannot comprehend is music are treated with extreme disclaim and labeled "Mediocrities!".

When the Prince visited Cornelio's home, he was attacked by a gang of DoReMi Elves who then fled. These elves were, in fact, Cornelio's symphony orchestra and, enraged, he would force himself into the Imperial City Recapture Army, insisting that his elves be recaptured and refusing to leave under they were reunited.

As bearer of the DoReMi Rune, Cornelio seems to have the unique ability to control the elves in some fashion. While staying at Ceras Lake, he got along well with Josephine due to their similar upper-class nature.

He did not, however, get along with Bastan, whom Cornelio was angry at for even attempting to affix a price to a work of art as he deemed it the sort of thing a "mediocrity" would stoop to. He also had issues with the Feitas Dragon Cavalry, complaining that the noise the dragon horses made disturbed his DoReMi Elves greatly.

Eventually, all five Elves were gathered, which placated the conductor slightly. He continued to stay at Ceras Lake and conducted regular concerts with his troupe. Following the end of the Sun Rune War, Cornelio became determined to recruit at least fifty members into the newly created DoReMi Elf Symphony Orchestra.
