In the past, Nabarre was known as a port town due to its many ships which sailed both for travel and to catch ocean fish. However, by HIY 100 collisions with the eastern barrier had become enough of a problem that the Yggdrasilian Throne ordered all ships to be scuttled and for ship technology to be completely suppressed.
By HIY 300, this campaign had been so successful that the citizens of the town did not know what the "Port Town" in the town's name referred to, or what the piers constructed by the sea had been used for. In the present, they merely served as convenient fishing spots.
Located in inner Ionia, the people of Nabarre were more willing to listen to the Yggdrasilian Throne's claims about the Company and the Vermilion Axe than their provincial counterparts. Located near the town was the Nabarre East Coast where a single ship had been secretly maintained over the past 200 years.
