Heroes of Harmonia (ハルモニア勇将伝, Harumonia yūshō-den) is a book mentioned in Genso Suikoden Short Story Collection 3.
Information
Heroes of Harmonia chronicled the exploits of many brave generals who fought for the Holy Kingdom of Harmonia. It was a fascinating read as a military tale, but was also valuable as a textbook because of its deep and detailed depictions.
Due to its fame, there were many adaptations of the book who altered and adapted its contents across generations. As such, there was a Highland version of the tome that focused purely on martial exploits.
Klaus Windamier's uncle, Greg, would gift the young boy a rare original Harmonian edition of the work. It was from this gift that Klaus learned of the strategist Soledt, inspiring him to study military strategy to aid his father on the battlefield.
Contents
The original Harmonian edition of the book contained the following exploits.
- A general who defeated 3,000 rampaging rebels with a mere 500 cavalry during the Harmonian civil war.
- A 15-man mountain guard that used a clever tactic to wipe out bandits invading from the Grassland.
- The exploits of Mauro Blight, who was the captain of the Harmonia Royal Guard at the time and who would go on to found the Kingdom of Highland.
- The Blind Strategist Soledt, which covered the exploits of the Harmonian strategist Soledt. This tale was usually removed from Highland editions of the work.
