History
After all, what difference is there between us? Why can't we just get along? I just don't understand it. It's really sad.
— Kirkis
Kirkis was an idealistic elf known for his strong aversion to the prejudice prevailing among the races inhabiting the Great Forest. His fervent desire was to foster peaceful cooperation between elves, dwarves, and humans, despite the traditional disdain elves had historically shown toward other races. Due to his radical views, Kirkis faced suspicion and mockery from his fellow elves.
Upon learning of the Burning Mirror and having his fears dismissed by his fellow elves, Kirkis embarked on a journey to seek assistance from the Toran Liberation Army in countering Kwanda Rosman's scheme to annihilate the Village of the Elves. He fled his village, swimming across Lake Toran to reach the Liberation Army, a perilous journey that nearly resulted in his drowning.
Despite Kirkis's efforts and the support of the Liberation Army, Kirkis would be imprisoned for his efforts. His fiancée, Sylvina, would ask him why he cared so much about humans. He would eloquently express his desire for peace between all peoples to her. Loving Sylvina more than anyone else, he wanted her to understand his feelings most of all.
Freed by Slyvina, Kirkis would fight on valiantly but ultimately Kwanda's Burning Mirror ultimately led to the destruction of the Village of the Elves, crushing his spirits for a time, as he felt that distrust between races had ultimately cost the lives of his people. Realizing the importance of hope and learning of the survival of Sylvina, Kirkis would resolve to fight on.
Following the Battle at Pannu Yakuta Castle, Kirkis and Sylvina joined the Liberation Army, continuing their fight for peace. He, like his elven comrades, preferred to spend their time in the outdoor areas of Toran Castle, in order to feel closer to nature. In combat, Kirkis utilized a light bow, complementing Sylvina's chosen weapon.
After the conclusion of the Gate Rune War, Kirkis dedicated himself to the restoration of the Village of the Elves. His persistent efforts gradually bore fruit in breaking down the barriers of prejudice within the elven population.
He eventually married Sylvina and assumed the role of Village Elder. Through his advocacy for cooperation, individuals of various races, including elves, dwarves, kobolds, and humans, united in aiding the reconstruction of his village.
