Ashino (アシノ, Ashino) is a character from Genso Suikoden Short Story Collection 3. He is the uncle of Kinnison who took him in after his mother died.

History

Ashino was the older brother of Kinnison's mother. He took in the 10-year-old Kinnison when his sister passed away.

He was a tall, strong man quite unlike Kinnison's mother. He had a hound, Kana, as his hunting partner and made money by selling the pelts of the animals he hunted for food.

Ashino wielded a bow and arrow. As a hunter, he had great respect for the forest and was concerned about people over-hunting. After he finished teaching Kinnison, he left on a journey, and has not been seen since.
