Unicorn Rune
The Unicorn Rune (イッカクの紋章, Ikkaku no Monshō) is an attack rune which appears in several game of the Suikoden series.
Information
This rune could only be borne by those who wielded spears and similar weapons in combat. The Unicorn Rune would add sharpness to the bearer's thrust, allowing its bearer to execute a powerful attack, penetrating a column of enemies.
However, the bearer would be left wide open following the attack, with zero defense, due to having to pull their spear back out. This meant that if the enemy survived the assault, a fatal counterattack could be on the horizon.

- The Japanese name could also be translated as "Narwhal Rune", but Unicorn Rune, taken literally as a "Single Horn" rather than the animal of legend, is an alternate translation.
