- This article is about the naval battle that occurs in Suikoden IV. For the character, who is a pirate, see Brandeau. For the boss battle against the same character, who is still a pirate, see Pirate Brandeau (enemy).
Pirate Brandeau (海賊ブランド, Kaizoku Brandeau) is a naval battle that occurs in Suikoden IV. It is the second such battle of the game.
Information
This battle took place on the Kuknasi Sea when the pirate Brandeau attacked an Orark Maritime Trade ship and its escort from the Knights of Gaien.
A preemptive strike by the pirates surprised the escort, leading to confusion and desertion by the ship's captain, Snowe Vingerhut, but with the leadership of the hero the knights were able to sink both Pirate Ships, forcing the pirates to board the Gaien Ship.
With the pirates contained, the Orark trade vessel was able to sail on untroubled. However, the Gaien Knight forces, as well as their pirate foes, would be wiped out to a man, save for the hero and Snowe, thanks to Brandeau's Rune of Punishment.
