Golem
Basic Information
Type
Normal

The Golem (クレイ ドール, Kurei Dōru, Clay Doll) is an enemy in the first Suikoden. The golem is the first boss of the game and is encountered on Magician's Island.

Information

The Golem was summoned by Luc with the power of his True Wind Rune in order to "test" McDohl and his entourage following their arrival on Magician's Island in order to retrieve Leknaat's Astral Conclusions.

The Golem's attacks included punching the ground to hit a foe with a tremor as well as throwing its boulder-like head at an opponent. Its defeat forced Luc to admit that McDohl and his entourage were the real deal and to escort them to Leknaat.

Trivia

  • In the Japanese version of Suikoden, the Golem shares its name and sprite with the Clay Doll, a later regular enemy in the game.
  • The Golem is a monster from jewish mythology. It's a statue made of clay which is turned to life by means of magic.
